Anabel Lopez has officially been announced as the seventh super-heavyweight Crown contender. Anabel has demonstrated her elite skillset on the sport’s biggest stages, and now prepares for her toughest test yet.

Anabel Lopez is a Spanish-British athlete who has garnered international recognition as one of the top females in Gi and No-Gi competition. The Fightzone London athlete has proven her ability across roughly two years at the black belt level.
Anabel’s breakout 2024 season witnessed her claim a brown belt Gi World Championship, followed by her black belt promotion, and culminated with World No-Gi and European No-Gi titles. Her game highlights the remarkable combination of precise technique and dynamic athleticism, which will certainly be tested in the stacked super-heavyweight division.
Anabel’s inclusion in the Crown bracket immediately ignites several fascinating matchups. The super-heavyweight division boasts phenomenal talent with Yara Soares, Larissa Dias, Ingridd Alves, Hazel Rose, Maria Alencar, and Maria Ruffatto confirmed with one contender spot remaining.
