2026 Crown | Rerisson Gabriel Finalizes Featherweight Division
Alliance Standout Accepts Crown Call

2026 IBJJF Crown Announcement
The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class competitors will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.
Rerisson Gabriel has officially been announced as the eighth and final featherweight Crown contender. The Alliance athlete has proven his elite ability on the sport’s biggest stages against top-tier opponents.
Rerisson Gabriel - Crown Throne Intentions
The reigning Brasileiro Champion accepts his Crown featherweight invitation. Rerisson reached two major event podiums in 2026, and aims to cap off his season in a big way. The Alliance athlete defeated multiple World Champion opponents through the Grand Slam season, and proved himself to be a legitimate threat.
Rerisson traditionally competes in the light-featherweight category, where he has reached four major event podiums through the 2025-2026 seasons. Rerisson projects to be one of the smallest competitors in the featherweight division, but also one of the most explosive. Led by his intricate sweeping ability from the guard, Rerisson certainly has the ability to upset the divisional favorites in his Crown debut.
The featherweight division is notoriously competitive and the Crown event has revealed just that. The 2026 Crown featherweight division boasts Rerisson, Sam Nagai, Bisnaga, Jun Yong Cho, Mateo Cardona, Ademir Barreto, Will Wilson, and Keven Carrasco.
The event is scheduled for November 8th from the Pyramid in Long Beach, California. Stay tuned to official IBJJF channels for continued updates surrounding the 2026 IBJJF Crown.
