2026 IBJJF Crown Announcement

The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class athletes will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.

Vinicius Liberati becomes the second heavyweight Crown contender to be announced. The Soldiers Jiu-Jitsu standout is the reigning super-heavyweight European, Brasileiro, and World Champion.

Liberati to Continue Phenomenal Year

Vinicius finalized a career year with three major event titles in 2026, and now shifts his sights towards the prestigious Crown title.

Vinicius utilizes a balanced attack that blends overwhelming top pressure with intricate guard play. His physicality and composure generate a steady attack that consistently builds throughout the match.

Vinicius battled with the reigning heavyweight Crown Champion, Nolan Stuart, on two occasions in 2026. Vinicius dropped the Pan finals match to Nolan before returning to defeat him in the Brasileiro semi-finals. The intensity from their matches was palpable, creating unique excitement for a potential grudge match between the two standout talents.
