Pawel Jaworski Leads Pan No-Gi Field

Pawel Jaworski has proven himself to be one of the top pound-for-pound No-Gi athletes in the world. The Polish star is currently the #1 globally ranked No-Gi athlete and has secured each of the four No-Gi Grand Slam titles in the last calendar year. Now the young phenom resumes his official Grand Slam title pursuit with his sights set firmly on Pan No-Gi.

Pawel Continues Grand Slam Chase

With his 2025 World No-Gi and 2026 Brasileiro No-Gi titles, Pawel is halfway to earning his Grand Slam title. World No-Gi represents the beginning of the No-Gi season and was followed by Brasileiro No-Gi, meaning Pawel must now capture Pan No-Gi and European No-Gi gold to secure the prestigious Grand Slam title designation. 

 

Pawel has commenced his black belt career with incredible success. The Academia Gorila standout has showcased one of the most dangerous guards in the world en route to defeating elite opponents on the biggest stages in international competition. 

At just twenty-two years old, Pawel has ascended to top-tier status. His seemingly impassable guard, and terrifying leglock arsenal makes him a truly special talent. Beyond his ability, the willingness to accept challenges such as open class brackets provide him with opportunities to thrill the jiu-jitsu community. 

Pawel has remained consistent throughout his entire rookie year. The Polish phenom has captured fourteen IBJJF gold medals, with his only two losses coming in major event open class competition. Through four No-Gi Grand Slam events, Pawel has secured six gold medals, a silver, and one bronze.

What the Academia Gorila team lacks in numbers they certainly make up for with big results, and while Pawel captures many headlines, he may just be the tip of the iceberg for the Poland-based academy under Marcin Polczyk.

Despite the depth of talent and exciting prospects within the Academia Gorila team, Pawel remains their headline-worthy star athlete. It is officialy Pan No-Gi week! The black belt adult divisions are scheduled to commence on Sunday, September 4th. The young Polish phenom has a difficult division with the likes of Alan Sanchez, David Garmo, Luan Veras, Angelo Claiborne, Natan Chueng, and company.
