Carlos Henrique is a jiu-jitsu black belt representing the Dream Art Team and is the latest addition to the IBJJF FloGrappling lightweight male grand prix lineup. After a brown belt campaign that included first place finishes at the Worlds, Brazilian Nationals, and American Nationals, Carlos was promoted to black belt by Isaque Bahiense in November 2022. Playing equally well from top and bottom positions, Carlos has a dynamic, attack-oriented style of jiu-jitsu that he’s put on display throughout his competitive career. His gold medal black belt debut at the Waco Open was followed by a second place finish at the Worlds No-Gi, where Carlos won four matches to advance to the lightweight final.
