The second edition of the Curitiba BJJ Pro took place on Saturday, November 11th at the Centro de Esporte e Lazer Max Rosenmann in Brazil. As a pro event, cash prizes were awarded to several division winners. The standout team of the event was CheckMat, who won first place overall as a team.

Another team that stood out was Fratres Jiu-Jitsu, which took home the most gold medals of any team at adult black belt. 2X European Champion Thalyta Silva returned to competition in Curitiba, where she won her only match via armlock. Another European Champion who also represents Fratres also competed in Curitiba. Amanda Magda took home gold in the female black belt open class division, winning two fights to claim the title. At medium-heavyweight, 2023 Brasileiro silver medalist Sabatha Lais was the champion. Sabatha won two fights in her division to take gold.

Vinicius Liberati and Anderson Munis were two more Fratres athletes who won their divisions in Curitiba. Vinicius competed in the heavyweight division, defeating the always tough Hygor Brito of Lotus Club in the final. Anderson competed at ultra-heavyweight, meeting Ataque Duplo’s Harryson Pereira in the final and winning the match via points.
