The final athlete to join the IBJJF Absolute GP is Francisco Lo of Cicero Costha International. Francisco won the 2022 Brazilian Nationals in the brown belt medium-heavy division and was promoted to black belt shortly thereafter. Despite being a new black belt, Francisco has already made noise on the competition scene, winning gold at the Sao Paulo Open and taking third at the Pan No-Gi. He has a submission oriented game and is not afraid to take a risk to get the finish. In one of the best submissions of the year, Francisco hit a flying armbar at the Pan No-Gi in his first match in the medium-heavy division.
