On Friday November 18th, the IBJJF will host the Absolute Grand Prix, an event that will feature top athletes across various weight classes competing for a $40,000 cash prize. The second confirmed competitor is GF Team’s Gutemberg Pereira. Gutemberg’s 2022 resume includes an open weight title at the Brazilian Nationals, a gold medal at the Sul Americano, and silver medals at the Pans and Worlds. Gutemberg plays top and bottom positions equally well and has built a reputation as a submission hunter that can finish a match from nearly any position.
