The IBJJF is thrilled to announce the Absolute Grand Prix, an event that will feature many of the sport’s top competitors fighting for gold in an open weight bracket. This event will take place on Friday November 18th in a location to be determined. The first confirmed competitor for the event is Kaynan Duarte of Atos Jiu-Jitsu. Kaynan is a World and Pan Champion and has displayed a dominant and technical jiu-jitsu game during his time as a black belt. In 2022, Kaynan added his second World title to his resume, defeating the top heavyweights in the sport on his road to gold. In addition to competing in his weight class, Kaynan has also had plenty of success in the absolute division, making it to the podium of the absolute in many major events. The IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix will be an eight person bracket, with coverage brought to you exclusively by FloGrappling. Stay tuned to find out who else will be competing in the IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix.
