The IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix will take place in Costa Mesa, California on Friday November 18th. The first two competitors announced for the event were 2022 World Champion Kaynan Duarte and 2022 Brazilian National absolute champion Gutemberg Pereira. Joining Kaynan and Gutemberg will be Rider Zuchi. Rider is a 2022 Brazilian National heavyweight champion and is currently ranked #3 at heavyweight and #6 overall in the IBJJF rankings. His dynamic guard passing, back attacks, and finishing ability have made Rider one of the most exciting heavyweights to watch. He has been one of the most consistent and active black belts on the scene since being awarded the rank in 2019.
