Sao Leopoldo International Open Results: Ataque Duplo’s Harryson Pereira Emerges As Double Gold Champion
The second edition of the Sao Leopoldo Open took place on Saturday, November 4th.

The Sao Leopoldo Open, held at the Ginásio Municipal Celso Morbach in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil on Saturday, November 4th, marked the second installment of the event organized by the IBJJF/CBJJ.
In the gi division, Ataque Duplo's Harryson Pereira showcased his prowess with an impressive 4-0 run, ultimately claiming titles in both the super heavyweight and absolute categories. Reflecting on his success, Harryson stated, “It was a good championship to be able to become weight and absolute champion by finishing three fights in different ways. I’ve been having good results. I want to continue climbing the rankings. Next week I will be fighting at the Curitiba BJJ Pro.”
Meanwhile, middleweight contender Vinicius Martins, representing Alliance, put on a stellar performance, finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record. He clinched the gold medal in the middleweight category and secured the silver in the absolute division, highlighting his impressive skillset from a variety of positions.
In the no-gi absolute division, Antonio Assef, representing GF Team - Jiu Art, dominated with an impressive display of takedowns and pressure passing techniques. Antonio's abilities allowed him to emerge victorious in the always challenging absolute division.
