The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class competitors will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.
Eliza Nascimento officially becomes the fourth female lightweight and fifth rookie black belt to join the Crown fray. The Marcio Andre student sets her sights on Crown glory amidst a stacked bracket.
Eliza Nascimento - Soaring Trajectory
The rookie black belt earned her promotion in June following her impressive 2026 World Championships double-bronze performance. Eliza impressed throughout her 2026 brown belt campaign reaching the podium in three of the four Grand Slam events.
As a black belt, Eliza has immediately secured double-gold at the San Diego Summer Open and a middleweight American National title. Eliza showcases fascinating guard play with dangerous upper-body submissions. The Marcio Andre product will rely heavily on her consistent attack and steady pace to mount offense in a dangerous lightweight division.
Eliza joins an incredibly stacked bracket that already includes Nikolett Kis, Elisabeth Clay, and Janaina Lebre. This bracket generates an incredible opportunity for Eliza to make a resounding statement early in her black belt career.
