Jun Yong Cho 2026 IBJJF Crown Announcement

2026 IBJJF Crown Announcement

The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class competitors will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.

Jun Yong Cho is officially announced as the third featherweight contender in the 2026 Crown. Jun Yong represents the first ever Korean athlete to compete in the prestigious Crown event.

Jun Yong - Weight of a Nation

Jun Yong is one of the standout athletes on the Asian competition scene. The Wire Jiu-Jitsu product has won back-to-back Asian Championship titles, secured bronze at Europeans, and currently sits at #4 on the featherweight rankings.

Jun Yong is an athletic competitor with a relentless motor. His coyote guard functions as a highly-effective attacking system that often leads to his precise submission game. At the 2026 Asian Championships, Jun Yong submitted each of his four opponents to secure a second consecutive dominant performance at the event.

The young talent continues to represent Korea and the entire Asian competition scene with brilliant performances under the brightest lights. Jun Yong must contend with elite champions such as Will Wilson and Joao ‘Bisnaga’ Mendes, who have been officially confirmed in the 154lb division.

Catch all the November 8th action live from the Pyramid in Long Beach, California or watch the exclusive stream on FloGrappling. Stay tuned to official IBJJF channels for continued updates surrounding the 2026 IBJJF Crown.
