2026 IBJJF Crown Announcement

The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class competitors will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.

Omar Nada is officially the sixth heavyweight contender to be revealed. Omar joins a fascinating division filled with proven champions and elite global stars. 

Omar Nada - Color Belt Champion to Crown Contender

Omar has accepted his 2026 Crown Heavyweight contender bid. The competition will mark the twenty-one-year-old athlete’s black belt debut, as his recent promotion gathered traction throughout the international jiu-jitsu community. 

Omar Nada finalized his color belt career as the #1 globally ranked male brown belt. The Unity Jiu-Jitsu product claimed his European Championship title in 2025, and most impressively ended his brown belt career at the 2026 World Championships with a phenomenal double-gold performance. 

Omar displays thrilling physicality and athleticism, in combination with strong passing skills and standing techniques culminating into a significant problem in the heavyweight division. Omar was originally born in the United Kingdom, yet grew up in Saudi Arabia where he commenced his jiu-jitsu career, and now resides in New York where he trains at Unity Jiu-Jitsu.

The multinational phenom joins a stacked heavyweight division that already boasts Fellipe Andrew, Vinicius Liberati, Windson Torres, Leo Ferreira, and Gustavo Batista. This division projects to deliver fireworks from the prestigious Pyramid arena.
