DreamArt Standout to Challenge Super-Heavyweight Phenoms
2026 IBJJF Crown Announcement
The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class athletes will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.
The first female super-heavyweight Crown contender is officially announced. Yara Soares do Nascimento brings a wealth of experience into the division for her first attempt at the IBJJF Crown title.
Proven Veteran Vies for Crown Prestige
Yara is a proven champion who blends athleticism, technique, and experience. The reigning European and Brasileiro Champion completed another strong 2026 Gi season with a bronze medal at the World Championships, and sets her sights on a highlight performance at The Crown.
The DreamArt representative has long been known as a dangerous guard player, however, Yara displayed strong positional dominance from top positions this year. Yara remains a significant threat to the seven remaining super-heavyweights, as she hopes to make a major statement in her Crown debut.
Yara undoubtedly possesses the traits necessary to topple the division favorites, en route to securing the renowned Crown.
Yara will descend upon the Pyramid in Long Beach, California on November 8th to contend for the illustrious title. Stay tuned to official IBJJF channels for continued updates on the 2026 IBJJF Crown.
