IBJJF FloGrappling MEGA Super Fight: Tainan Dalpra Squares Off With Isaque Bahiense
In one of the biggest super fights in jiu-jitsu in recent memory, Tainan Dalpra of AOJ will take on Isaque Bahiense of Dream Art at the IBJJF FloGrappling GP on Friday March 3rd. The match will be 30 minutes in length and will be contested under IBJJF rules. Tainan and Isaque last met in the middleweight final of the 2021 World Championships, where Tainan won a close match via an 8-6 score.
Last year, Tainan Dalpra went undefeated in competition. He won his first black belt World title in December 2021 and followed that up with major titles at the Europeans, Pans, and Worlds in 2022. Following his run of major championship gold medals early in the year, Tainan competed at the 2022 Jiu-Jitsu CON and in an IBJJF FloGrappling GP super fight against Rodrigo Lopes. He competed in a total of 18 matches in 2022 and finished 14 of them by submission, an impressive 78% submission rate. Tainan also achieved the #1 ranking for adult male black belt middleweight and the #2 overall ranking for adult male black belts.
Isaque Bahiense had quite the year himself in 2022, most notably winning the IBJJF FloGrappling Medium-Heavy GP crown and taking silver at the World Championships in the medium-heavy division. As a black belt World, Pan, & European Champion, Isaque has won nearly every major title in the gi. With an aggressive game based around takedowns and top control, Isaque has proven to be one of the winningest current generation athletes in IBJJF competition. In addition to his work as an athlete on the mat, he is also the leader of Dream Art, a team that has helped launch the careers of many up and coming athletes in the sport.
