Michael Pixley is officially confirmed as part of the eight-man IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix. The Pedigo Submission Fighting representative enters the tournament with significant momentum, following a dominant no-gi campaign in 2025. Despite his extensive, high-level competitive history, this prestigious event marks Pixley’s debut at the black belt level, a promotion he earned atop the No-Gi Worlds podium in December. Pixley is set to present his elite wrestling and formidable submission arsenal to The Hangar in Costa Mesa, California on February 25th.

Pixley has demonstrated continuous improvement with every appearance on the mats, fueling elevated anticipation ahead of the talent-loaded Absolute Grand Prix event. Opponents must be keenly aware of his premier standing game, which, combined with an excellent front-headlock system, presents a major challenge. The evolution of his passing game completes a well-rounded skill set that positions him for a deep run toward the $50,000 grand prize. Training at the Daisy Fresh facility, Pixley benefits from an exceptional roster of high-level training partners experienced in open-class competition, including Dante Leon, Brandon Reed, and Elder Cruz.

In 2025, Michael Pixley was one of the most remarkable brown belts in the world, capturing both Pans and World Championship titles. Earning the IBJJF Absolute Grand Prix title would be an incredible achievement, commencing his black belt rookie season in grand fashion. Experience the action live at The Hangar, or tune in for the exclusive broadcast on FloGrappling to witness world-class no-gi athletes battle for the $50,000 prize.
