Prestigious Academies Earn Their Placement Atop The 2025 No-Gi Worlds Podium
The World's Top Academies Showcased Their Best Athletes in Hopes of Securing 2025 No-Gi Worlds Team Titles
Competitors of all ages engaged in jiu-jitsu competition at the world’s biggest no-gi event of the year. Admirable performances created an amazing environment for the sport to flourish under the bright Las Vegas lights. Team trophies were awarded to the top academies recognizing their outstanding mentorship and guidance throughout the year.

Adult Male
Atos Jiu-Jitsu successfully secured their third consecutive Adult Male No-Gi World Championship team title. Their complete performance underscored the depth of their talent, extending far beyond the renowned Atos Dream Team competitors. Five adult male athletes collectively clinched six gold medals at this year's premier no-gi event. Marlon Tajik delivered a masterful double-gold performance in the brown belt division, while Nico Maglicic earned the sole male black belt title for the San Diego-based affiliation. Throughout the adult male brackets, Atos athletes demonstrated world-class technique and commendable class, en route to earning their team the 2025 No-Gi Worlds title with a decisive thirty-point margin.
AOJ seized the silver team title in the adult male divisions, further cementing their formidable reputation on the global stage. Cole Abate and Marcos Gomes spearheaded an impressive campaign for the Costa Mesa-based affiliation, securing pivotal black belt No-Gi Worlds titles. Nine competitors contributed essential points on behalf of AOJ, highlighting the academy’s considerable depth within the adult male categories.
Fight Sports and Unity Jiu-Jitsu claimed the bronze team trophies in the adult male competition. Four Fight Sports athletes accounted for the academy's twenty-eight points, led by Roosevelt Sousa, who secured a stunning double-gold performance in the black belt division. Concurrently, three Unity Jiu-Jitsu performances amassed an equivalent twenty-eight division points, highlighted by Moussa Kadi's exceptional double-gold run this weekend.

Adult Female
Atos Jiu-Jitsu reigned supreme as the top adult female academy at the 2025 No-Gi Worlds, capturing the title for the third time in as many years. An impressive thirteen female athletes supplied their academy with hard-earned points, showcasing phenomenal depth within the female adult competitive landscape. Thaís Loureiro, Adele Fornarino, and Lillian Marchand all magnificently secured black belt world titles for Atos, confirming their dominance at the highest echelon of women's jiu-jitsu. Atos Jiu-Jitsu's fifty-one points surpassed all other academies with a commanding sixteen-point lead.
Alliance secured the 2025 No-Gi World Championships silver team trophy. Seven athletes contributed to the affiliation’s thirty-five points, prominently featuring Greta Notaro and Yasmim Santana's exceptional double-podium performances. Alliance continues to establish itself as a perennial powerhouse in the competitive jiu-jitsu scene.
Gracie Barra and CheckMat qualified for the bronze team trophies, each finishing with thirty-one points. Gracie Barra boasted three adult female gold medalists, distinguished by the impressive runs of Miranda Allen and Maria Fragoso. Meanwhile, nine CheckMat athletes delivered thirty-one team points to their affiliation, highlighted by the gold medal outings of brown belts Gabrielle Baptista and Janice Russell.

Juvenile
AOJ stood atop the Juvenile team trophy podium, making a triumphant return to their winning pedigree. Five athletes secured six gold medals in the juvenile divisions, propelling their academy to the gold trophy. Natalee Funegra completed the team's only double-gold run, emphatically demonstrating AOJ's 2025 dominance at the juvenile level. AOJ amassed sixty-four points to top the podium—the highest juvenile score recorded at the No-Gi World Championships since their last title victory in 2023. This weekend unequivocally proved that AOJ is nurturing some of the sport's most promising next-generation stars.
Gracie Barra secured the silver team trophy, fueled by the excellent performances of eight of their most talented juveniles. Hawann Hennye captured his team’s sole double-gold performance, generating immense excitement for his future and that of his fellow Gracie Barra juveniles. Fifty well-deserved team points validate the exceptional talent Gracie Barra possesses in the juvenile divisions.
CheckMat captured the juvenile bronze team trophy with forty-four points. Nine CheckMat juveniles contributed team points at the 2025 No-Gi World Championships, featuring double-podium finishes from Guy Torres, Joao Araujo, and Magdalena Owczarek. The jiu-jitsu community eagerly anticipates the bright future of these up-and-coming competitors.

Masters
CheckMat unequivocally dominated the Masters division at the 2025 No-Gi Worlds, seizing the gold team trophy. A staggering three hundred and eleven points were delivered across sixty-five athlete performances, solidifying CheckMat as the preeminent competitive masters academy this year. Wilson Bueno and Vedha Toscano secured a double-gold performance in the Master 1 division, underscoring their team's massive success.
Gracie Barra secured the silver team trophy with two hundred and seventeen points accumulated throughout the masters divisions. Flavia Isabel captured a pair of gold medals in the Master 2 division, representing her academy valiantly. Gracie Barra continues to honor its slogan, “Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone,” as the affiliation has successfully reached the Masters team podium at every event since 2007. This impressive, enduring feat continues to motivate competitors of all ages to participate in the sport's biggest no-gi event of the year.
Carlson Gracie Team rounded out the Masters team podium, earning a hard-fought bronze trophy. Forty-nine athlete performances contributed to the academy’s two hundred and eleven team points. Shane Hall and Virginia Mendez-Rodeman secured the team’s only double-gold performances in the masters divisions. The powerful showing from the Carlson Gracie Masters team clearly demonstrated the competitive spirit thriving across all age groups.
