GF Team athletes Ademir Barreto and Carlos Bebeto Oliveira also had strong performances, each winning two matches in their respective divisions to take home gold.

In the no-gi divisions, Clay Mayfield stood out with a double gold performance, winning four matches across the medium-heavyweight and absolute divisions. Gabriel Figueroa captured featherweight gold through two matches.

In color belt action, a pair of Campeão United Jiu-Jitsu athletes dominated the brown belt division with Rodrigo França and João Trindade each capturing a silver and gold medal. Female brown belt, Julianna Wong, earned double-gold with three victories in the gi.

Juvenile action featured top prospects such as Kaua Diogo, who captured double gold in Indianapolis. Sarah Gulling also impressed with her double gold performance, earning four victories in the gi.

Over in Spain at the Madrid Open, brothers Davi and Matheus Vetoraci were among the top performers in the gi. Matheus won two matches at heavyweight and added three more in the absolute to earn both gold and silver medals. Davi delivered an impressive performance of his own, winning one match at super-heavyweight and three in the absolute division to finish undefeated and claim double gold.

Rodrigo Mariani of CheckMat captured the middleweight title, while Gabriela Miranda of Double Five secured women’s absolute gold with two victories. Keanna Klay and Tami Toros also took gold in Madrid and are set to compete at the upcoming Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships.

Natan Sap of ZR Team completed an incredible weekend in his black belt debut.  Natan earned double gold in no-gi securing six submissions in as many matches, beginning his black belt career on a high note.  In other no-gi action, Rose Sharouni and Konstantinos Lampos secured featherweight gold with two victories in the black belt division.

Juvenile competition featured standout prospects such as Vertti Puurtinen, who captured double gold with five submissions in as many matches. Female juveniles Alexis Edwards and Alexandra Mangels earned gold and silver medals through four matches each.

Down in Brazil at the Salvador Fall Open, Anderson Duarte of Soldiers Jiu-Jitsu won three matches at featherweight to take gold, securing victories with both a bow-and-arrow choke and a head-and-arm choke. Guilherme Avelino of Alliance also impressed, winning both of his ultra-heavyweight matches by submission. Salamao Stanford completed an incredible run through the black belt open division, earning four victories and the title.

Marina Penedo delivered a dominant performance, winning three matches to claim double gold while finishing all of her opponents by submission. Jed Hue was the standout competitor in the no-gi divisions, capturing both lightweight and absolute titles and submitting all four of his opponents.  Female black belt, Layze Cerqueira, also earned double gold in impressive fashion over the weekend.
