2021 & 2023 World Champion Melissa Stricker Joins The Crown’s Super Heavyweight Division
Melissa will put her world-class skills to the test at The IBJJF Crown.
Alliance San Diego competitor Melissa Stricker is the third athlete confirmed for The IBJJF Crown’s female super heavyweight division. With two World titles under her belt, Melissa has quickly risen to prominence in the sport, making her one of the most accomplished competitors in her division. A pivotal move in Melissa’s career came when she joined Alliance San Diego, a highly renowned competition team, in 2021. The move proved to be a game-changer for her career, as she won both her World titles along with a Pan and American National title after the change. Under the guidance of experienced coaches and training alongside some of the best talents in the world, Melissa's skills and confidence have grown by leaps and bounds. Now, Melissa is set to take on her biggest challenge to date as she joins The IBJJF Crown’s super heavyweight category. Melissa will compete alongside 4X World Champion Nathiely de Jesus and 2023 medium-heavy World Champion Amy Campo, with one other yet to be announced competitor. The Crown is the IBJJF’s biggest professional event to date, with $15k in cash prizes being awarded to the winners of each division.
