2023 World Champion Amy Campo Is Ready To Go For The IBJJF Crown
The Zenith BJJ athlete joins the female open weight category at The IBJJF Crown.

2023 medium-heavyweight World Champion Amy Campo is the second athlete confirmed for The IBJJF Crown’s female super heavyweight division. Amy was promoted to black belt in December 2021 after winning double gold at the Worlds No-Gi as a brown belt. It didn’t take the Zenith representative long to make a name for herself at the black belt rank. In just her second IBJJF tournament as a black belt, Amy advanced to the open class final of the 2022 World Championships to take on Gabrieli Pessanha, one of the most accomplished competitors of all time. Though Amy would lose the match via referee’s decision, her performance was astounding, especially considering it was her first major championship as a black belt. Since then, Amy has won titles at the American Nationals, Worlds No-Gi, and the Worlds. Her run at the 2023 World Championships was one of her best performances to date, as Amy defeated two of her three opponents via submission to capture her first black belt World title. Don’t miss Amy Campo take on the super heavyweight category at The Crown, the IBJJF’s biggest and most prestigious professional event to date. The event goes down on Sunday, November 19th at the Pyramid in Long Beach, California. Tickets for the event will be available soon. If you can’t make the event live, be sure to catch the stream on FloGrappling. For more information on The Crown, please visit the following link.
