The 2026 Crown is building a phenomenal list of athletes for its fourth edition. Forty-eight world-class competitors will converge inside the famous Long Beach Pyramid on November 8th with hopes of securing one of the most sought after trophies in the sport, as well as the $20,000 cash prize.
Pedro Machado is officially announced as the sixth ultra-heavyweight contender. He joins a division loaded with talent and experience, as he sets his sights on the prestigious Crown title.
Pedro Machado - No Stranger to Big Moments
The Machado Jiu-Jitsu representative embodies consistency and experience at the highest level. A proven veteran who has competed on major event finals mats throughout his black belt career, Pedro retains the confidence and ability to make a huge statement at the Pyramid.
Since 2024, Pedro has earned nine Grand Slam event medals including his 2024 Pan title. His game features a balanced attack highlighted by his strong passing pressure and standing ability. Despite being one of the smaller contenders in the division, Pedro’s significant open class experience helps to provide some level of familiarity with his ultra-heavyweight opponents.
Pedro remains a steady force in the heavyweight division, although he will have to move up two weight classes to compete in an ultra-heavyweight Crown division that already boasts Francisco Papasidero, Thierry Felipe, Seif-Eddine, Alexander Sak, and Helder Rodrigues.
