The final athlete confirmed The IBJJF Crown is none other than 4X World Champion Erich Munis. Coming up in the scene alongside his brothers Alex and Anderson, Erich developed a reputation as one of the brightest young talents in the sport. After winning every major gi title in the colored belts, Erich was promoted to black belt in September 2020. His first major championship as a black belt was the 2021 Brasileiros, where Erich put on an incredible performance as he captured super heavyweight and open class gold. Later that year, Erich won his first World title in Anaheim, California, cementing his position as one of the best competitors in the world. Two more World Championship gold medals followed in 2022 and 2023, as Erich continued to showcase innovative and effective techniques on the mats. Now, he’ll join the Crown’s ultra heavyweight division in search of a new title for his already stacked resume. Will Erich come out on top of the ultra heavyweight division?
