As the excitement continues to build around the IBJJF’s biggest professional event yet, another World Champion has been announced for The Crown. 2022 World Champion Isaac Doederlein will join Fabricio Andrey in the 70 kg (154.6 lbs.) division. Isaac's black belt journey began all the way back in 2015, when he was awarded his black belt by none other than the legendary Rubens "Cobrinha" Charles. Similar to that of his Half of Fame coach, Isaac’s journey has been filled with challenges that’s he’s overcome in remarkable fashion. For Isaac, it took nearly four years from the moment he received his black belt to achieve a major title. In 2019, he broke through the barrier and captured gold at the Brasileiros, cementing his place among the featherweight elite. From there, Isaac's journey only gained momentum as he won three more major titles that solidified his reputation as one of the best featherweights on the planet. His World title run in 2022 was the highpoint of his career as he secured two straight foot locks and won the final in the dying seconds of the match. He has continued to hone his craft meticulously, and it's evident in the evolution of his technique. Isaac has developed one of the most effective straight foot locks in the game, a weapon that has caught many opponents off guard. Whether it's his attacking style guard, relentless passing, or his tight submission attacks, Isaac has proven that he's a complete martial artist. Don’t miss Isaac competing at The Crown on Sunday, November 19th. For more information on The Crown, please visit the following link.
