As the anticipation for the IBJJF’s biggest professional event to date continues to build, the final athletes have been announced for The Crown. Roosevelt Sousa of team Fight Sports will compete in The IBJJF Crown's ultra heavyweight division. Roosevelt won important titles in the colored belts such as the Worlds No-Gi, Pan No-Gi, Brasileiros, and American Nationals, leading to his black belt promotion in mid 2020. Roosevelt has evolved into a dangerous submission hunter known for having one of the best straight ankle locks in the game. As a black belt, Roosevelt has achieved important results in competition, including bronze medals at the Worlds No-Gi and the Pans. His most recent performance at the 2023 Pan No-Gi, where he submitted two of his three matches to win his first major championship gold medal, was his best yet. Will Roosevelt use his devastating footlock game to win the biggest title of his career at The Crown? Tune in on Sunday, November 19th to find out. You do not want to miss the male ultra heavyweight division at The Crown, as four of the best and most dangerous athletes in the division will compete for glory and prize money. Tickets for the event will be available soon. If you can’t make the event live, be sure to catch the stream on FloGrappling. For more information on The Crown, please visit the following link.
