Roosevelt Sousa of team Fight Sports will compete in The IBJJF Crown's ultra heavyweight division. Roosevelt won important titles in the colored belts such as the Worlds No-Gi, Pan No-Gi, Brasileiros, and American Nationals, leading to his black belt promotion in mid 2020. Roosevelt has evolved into a dangerous submission hunter known for having one of the best straight ankle locks in the game. As a black belt, Roosevelt has achieved important results in competition, including bronze medals at the Worlds No-Gi and the Pans. His most recent performance at the 2023 Pan No-Gi, where he submitted two of his three matches to win his first major championship gold medal, was his best yet.
