Uanderson Ferreira Is The First Heavyweight Confirmed For The Crown
As the first heavyweight confirmed for The Crown, Uanderson is set to put on a show.
Rookie black belt Uanderson Ferreira is the first competitor confirmed for The Crown’s heavyweight division. Uanderson has been making waves in the sport since his colored belt days, when he won important titles at the Europeans and Brasileiros. He was promoted to black belt back in February 2023 following a phenomenal double gold medal performance as a brown belt at the Europeans in Paris, France. After receiving his black belt, Uanderson jumped right back into competition, earning a gold medal at the 2023 London Open in the medium-heavyweight division and then going to Kissimmee, Florida to compete at the Pans. Uanderson has a very exciting and fan friendly style of jiu-jitsu. His ability to take his opponents down from the feet with a variety of takedowns and then pass the guard with a unique blend of technique and athleticism have made him a favorite to watch among jiu-jitsu enthusiasts. Uanderson most recently won the 2023 Sul Americano, taking many of his opponent’s backs and capturing the gold medal. Will Uanderson add the heavyweight Crown to his list of accolades? Find out on Sunday, November 19th at the Pyramid in Long Beach, California. If you can’t make the event live, be sure to watch all the action on flograppling.com.
